Russin prime minister test positive

As the world figures increase for the COVID 19 confirmed cases, the Russian prime minister Mikhail Mishustin has just tested positive as reported by the Russian’s RT TV channel on Thursday. This make him the most high profile person to contract the virus in Russia.

“It just became known that the coronavirus tests I took came back positive, so I must oblige by the self-isolation rules and it’s mandatory [that I do that] for the safety of my colleagues,” The prime minister said in a segment aired on Russia 24 state channel.

His test results was confirmed in a videoconference with President Vladimir Putin, and nominated his deputy to take over for him as acting Prime Minister.
The current figures of the COVID 19 in Russia stands at 100,000 confirmed cases on Thursday, after announcing its highest single-day rise of 7,099 new infections. And according to the country’s coronavirus response headquarters, 1,071 people have died in Russia.
