On Monday, the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) put on public display the educational certificates of all the six governorship aspirants seeking the party’s ticket ahead of the election on September 19.
The act of displaying the educational qualifications is in line with the guideline released by the party and it is to help also side with the public in the party’s screening of information, credentials and documents provided by aspirants.
The credentials of six governorship aspirants include Governor Godwin Obaseki, Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu, Hon. Dr. Pius Odubu, Engr. Chris Ogiemwonyi, Hon. Osaro Obazee and Hon. Matthew Aigbuhuenze Iduoriyekemwen.
The credentials are said to be displayed on the notice board at the National Secretariat of the party, by the National Organising Secretary, Barrister Emma Ibediro.
It showed that the incumbent governor, Godwin Obaseki, had 3 credits and 3 passes in his 1973 West Africa Examination Council (WAEC) .
Studied at the Institute of Continuous Education between 1976-1979 before gaining admission into University of Ibadan, where he studied Classics.
Pastor Ozagie Ize-Iyamu, in his 1979 West African Examination Council (WAEC) result had 6 credits and 2 passes.
He studied Law at the University of Benin, graduated from the Law School in 1986/87 and called to the Bar in 1987.
