Senator Kalu who is visiting the South East for the first time since he was released from Kuje custodial centre on June 2nd, arrived Sam Mbakwe Airport Owerri in a private jet at exactly 1:32pm
Accompanied by his retinue of aides, friends and associates, Kalu was warmly welcomed at the airport by a number of supporters numbering about 3,000.
The Chief Whip of the Senate in a dramatic move to avoid the crowd headed straight to his country home where he was given an unprecedented welcome.
Each community his convoy passed greeted Kalu with 21 gun salute . See photos
