The United States government has reportedly warned its citizens against travelling to certain Nigerian states for security reasons.
In the advisory published on the website of its Department of State, Bureau of Consular Affairs, American citizens were warned against travelling to these states, Borno, Yobe and the Northern part of Adamawa State because of terrorism.
The Department of State, Bureau of Consular Affairs also advised Americans not to go to Adamawa, Bauchi, Borno, Gombe, Kaduna, Kano and Yobe because of the high rate of kidnappings.
