Governor of Abia State, Okezie Ikpeazu has commiserated with Enugu State Governor, Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi over the fatal accident that claimed 21 lives in the State.
It has been reported that no less than 21 persons including pupils have died in an accident involving school children at Mgbowo in Awgu Local Government Area of Enugu State.
According to report gathered, the tragic accident also claimed the lives of a roadside tyre repairer, cyclist and Mechanic.
Reacting over the tragic incident on Saturday, Governor Ikpeazu condoled with Governor Ugwuanyi, Government & the good people of Enugu State over the fatal accident.
Ikpeazu also extended his condolences to the Catholic Bishop of Awgu Diocese, operators of the pupils’ school, His Lordship, Most Revd John Okoye, and prayed that God will comfort all those affected and accept the souls of the departed.

Gov. Ugwuanyi, who wished the school children and other victims quick recovery, consoled the parents of the kids to have faith in God as his administration will do anything possible to ensure that they fully recover.
The governor therefore announced that the state government will take care of all their medical bills to any level and urged the management of the hospital to give the victims adequate medical attention.
