Top Ugandan Singer, Bebe Cool Accused Of Reporting Omah Lay And Tems To The Police

Bebe Cool, a popular Ugandan singer has been accused of being the brains behind the arrest of Nigerian singers, Omah Lay and Tems.

The Nigerian singers were arrested in Uganda on Sunday for violating COVID-19 protocols by performing at a crowded concert, a concert Bebe Cool had earlier ranted about on Facebook.

Despite the arrest, Many Ugandans however noted that the organisers of the concert informed the authorities about the event as it was publicized many months in advance.

Many Ugandans have specifically blamed Bebe Cool for the arrest of the Nigerians. Bebe Cool is a Ugandan musician that is very close to the Government of Uganda.

He has been campaigning for President Yoweri Museveni since another musician, Bobi Wine, decided to contest against the president. He was once chased off stage by fans because of his support for President Museveni, who has been in power since 1986.

Bebe Cool had vowed to disrupt Omah Lay’s concert if the police failed to stop it.
