Senator representing Lagos Central Oluremi Tinubu (OON) yesterday felicitated with Muslims in the senatorial district, Lagos State and Nigeria on the successful end of Ramadan and the celebration of Eid-el- fitr.
In a statement yesterday, Senator Tinubu said: “Ramadan, one of the five pillars of Islam, is a lesson in self-control, holiness and empathy towards others. Beyond today, however, we must ensure that these lessons stay with us, guiding our actions and interactions with one another.
“We must also continue to pray for peace in all the states of Nigeria, playing our part to curb crime, corruption and insecurity; and refusing as a people to condone persons and conduct that threaten our unity as a nation.
“Nigeria belongs to us all, and we must ensure that we play our role towards ensuring that we leave a worthy legacy, a country that our unborn generations can be proud of.
“Even as we celebrate, we must continue to adhere to COVID-19 guidelines in place for our safety, while extending a helping hand to the needy around us.
“Once again, I wish you all Happy Eid-el- Fitr and the enduring blessings of God Almighty.”
