Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu has won Real Estate Governor of the Year Award.
The award was organised by City People Magazine at 10 Degrees Event Centre, Oregun.
According to the Publisher, City People, Seye Kehinde, Governor Sanwo-Olu “is a major catalyst in the all-round development of the real estate subsector in the nation’s economic hub, Lagos State.”
The award, tagged Real Estate Governor of the year, he said, was to acknowledge Mr. Sanwo-Olu s leadership role in promoting the real estate subsector in Lagos State.
Lagos State also received the award as best state in the nation in housing development.
Kehinde said the award was in recognition of the dynamic Housing policies targeted at creating not only a vibrant built sector but providing pragmatic solutions for resolving the housing challenges in the state.
“Lagos State under the administration of Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu has made clear statements on its avowed commitment to the provision of decent and affordable housing for Lagosians, thereby enhancing the standard of living of the people and increasing economic engagements for the players in the built sector,” he said.
The awards were received on behalf of the Governor and State Government by the Special Adviser to the Governor on Housing Toke Benson-Awoyinka and the Lagos State Ministry of Housing Permanent Secretary Mr. Wasiu Akewusola.
Benson-Awoyinka thanked the organisers, saying that the transformation agenda of Lagos State Government was a passion which will continue to bring about positive impacts on the lives of the people.
