The Nigerian Film Corporation (NFC) has laid the foundation to begin the building of a multi million Naira clinic for its host community in Plateau state.
The Managing Director, Dr Chidia Maduekwe, while laying the foundation at the site in Nukpis, Jos East LGA, said the hospital would serve the students and staff of the institution, host community and other neighbouring communities.
“To God to the glory the foundation laying has taken place and we are grateful to kickstart the building of this clinic for the benefit of everyone in this locality.
“This edifice will not only serve the staff and students of this institution but for the host community and neighbouring communities,” he said.
Maduekwe explained that the federal government had appropriated and disbursed full funds meant for the hospital project which he said was expected to be completed in 3 months.
He added that the clinic would be equipped with state of the art equipment and adequate staffing to ensure good medical service was given to the people.
“We are expecting a rapid completion of this edifice, because the federal government has appropriated and the money has been fully released.
“So, we expect that in the next 3 to 4 months the architect will deliver this hospital, fully equipped, fully constructed for the benefit of staff, students and community in this area.
“It is a small clinic but i want to assure you that it’s going to have state of the art equipment and have adequate staffing of professionals who will be manning the center, I am a medical doctor by training so my heart and soul is connected with what is good in terms of the area of medicare,”.

Architect of the project, Arc. Bala Salihu said that the clinic would have a maternity ward, admission wards for regular and VIP’s, a pharmacy, operating room, first aid room and others.
Salihu assured the NFC to deliver the project at the stipulated time and use materials of the best standards for the building.
