The Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu has expressed sadness over the gruesome murder of 22-year-old fashion designer, Bamise Ayanwole, who boarded a Bus Rapid Transit run by the state.

The body of the 22-year-old citizen was found dead with some parts missing.

In an address on Monday night, Sanwo-Olu said the life of every citizen mattered, adding that the government did not take security for granted. He added that BRT vehicles remained safe for every resident to use.

He vowed that no stone would be left unturned in the probe and efforts to arrest everyone found culpable in the incident.

“The driver of the BRT bus involved in this unfortunate incident has been arrested. Lagos Bus Service Ltd has been directed to cooperate fully with security agencies in their investigations,” he said.

Sanwo-Olu assured that the full weight of the law would be brought upon all involved in the murder.

The governor commiserated with Bamise’s family, friends and prayed that God would console them.

Promising that the deceased would “get the justice she deserves”, Sanwo-Olu said BRT services remained safe despite the condemnable act.
