Major Hamza Al-Mustapha (rtd), former Chief Security Officer to late former Military Head of State, Sani Abacha, has vowed to end Boko Haram insurgency in six months if elected Nigeria’s President.

Al-Mustapha, who is contesting under the platform of Action Alliance (AA), said as president he would not condone failure.

He said if the military failed to tackle the challenge of insecurity in six months, the senior officers would be demoted and probed.

Al-Mustapha disclosed this in an interview with the Hausa Service of the British Broadcasting Corporation ( BBC) monitored in Kaduna.

“I will relocate and live in the Sambisa forest in Borno state which is regarded as the epicentre of the Boko Haram to see what will happen. I will make sure we take the necessary steps to neutralize the insurgents in 6 months,” he said.

He described what is currently happening in Nigeria as pathetic.
