The All Progressives Congress, (APC) presidential candidate, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, has thrown a heavy jab at the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Deputy Governorship candidate in Lagos state, Funke Akindele.
The former governor of Lagos state said that mentioning the actress’ name in his presence was an insult and a big disrespect.
Tinubu told this to his supporters at a political outing in Lagos state on Wednesday, November 2nd, 2022.
In a video circulating online, a support band was singing a campaign song, describing Akindele as a political ‘ant’ compared to the APC gubernatorial candidate, Babajide Sanwo-Olu.
Irritated by the comparison, Tinubu cautioned them never to mention the Nollywood star’s name in his presence again.
“Who is Funke Akindele before Sanwo-Olu of Lagos? She is an ant,” the supporters sang.
“Don’t even bother to mention her name in my presence. It is an insult. It is disrespectful,” Tinubu replied.
