Wife of an embattled 57-year-old medical director, Dr Olufemi Olaleye, has narrated to a Lagos State Sexual Offences Court how her husband sexually abused an a-15-year old minor during her stay in their house.

Mrs Aderemi Olaleye, who is the first prosecution witness in the ongoing trial of her husband over alleged defilement and sexual penetration of the survivor, also told the trial judge, Justice Ramon Oshodi that they have been married for 11 years.

Olaleye, who is the founder of Optimal Care Centre was docked before Justice Oshodi on an alleged two-count charge of defilement and sexual penetration against a minor.

The defendant allegedly committed the offences between February 2020 and November 2021 on Layi Ogunbambi Close, Maryland, Lagos.

Olaleye was also accused of sexually assaulting the survivor by penetrating her mouth with his penis.

The alleged offences, according to the state, contravened Sections 137 and 261 of the Criminal Laws of Lagos State, 2015.

The defendant, however, pleaded not guilty to the charge.

In her testimony, the witness, who described herself as an economist, and entrepreneur in real estate and merchandise, claimed that the girl confessed to a relative and their driver that the defendant has been sleeping with her and threatening to kill her if she tells anyone.

The mother of two, who was led in evidence by the Director Directorate of Public Prosecution (DPP) Dr Babajide Martins, also told the court that “on November 27, 2021, my second cousin told my aunty who is my mother’s sister that since March 2020, Femi has been sexually abusing her.

“She confessed that Femi introduced her to pornography, and from there he graduated to oral sex with her, that he does this in different places in the home where there are no cameras. He does this around 2:00a.m,” she alleged.

The witness further testified that she reported the matter to the police, and investigations were carried out on the defendant and the victim to unravel the truth.

Mrs Olaleye also informed the court that during the investigation the defendant allegedly broke down in tears, confessing that he had carnal knowledge, fingering and had oral sex with her.

She also claimed that the matter was later referred to the Gender Section of the Lagos State Police Command.

Justice Oshodi has adjourned the matter to December 21 for the continuation of trial.
