No less than two suspected cultists have been killed in a rival cult clash in Warri, Delta state.
It was gathered one was killed on Thursday in Egbokodo community while the other was killed early Friday at neighbouring Ubeji.
Delta Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), DSP Bright Edafe, confirmed the two killings in a text message to The Nation.
Chairman of Warri South Local Government Area, Dr. Michael Tidi, in a statement expressed anger over the killings of two youths in the oil city.
He charged the police and other relevant security agencies to fish out perpetrators of the heinous act.
He further advised community leaders in the areas where the bloody incidents occurred, to provide the necessary intelligence to security agencies, so as to promptly nip the menace in the bud.
Tidi warned that his administration will not tolerate any form of violence or bloodletting tht will jeopardize efforts at resetting Warri South LGA for accelerated socio-economic growth.
