Ahead of the general elections, some major markets in Lagos state were shut down yesterday, January 25, to enable traders to collect their Permanent Voters Cards PVC.
The management of the International Trade Fair Complex, Balogun, and Article markets, said the decision was taken to encourage the traders to collect their PVCS and exercise their franchise on Election Day.
It was also learnt that an automobile spare parts market in the state was also shut last Saturday for the same purpose.
