In a show of solidarity and gratitude, Hon. (Dr.) Ikenna Nicolas Ukwa, Senior Legislative Aide to the Senate President, led a delegation of key All Progressives Congress (APC) stakeholders from Ohafia Local Government Area (LGA) on an appreciation visit to Senator Orji Uzor Kalu at the National Assembly Complex in Abuja on Monday.

The purpose of the visit was to commend Senator Kalu, who represents Abia North Senatorial District, for his “massive infrastructural development” across the region, particularly in Ohafia and Arochukwu LGAs.

In his address, Dr. Ukwa expressed admiration for Senator Kalu’s developmental strides;

“We are here today to sincerely thank you for the visible projects you have attracted across the LGAs that make up Abia North,” he said.

“This visit is to encourage you to do even more and never relent in your quest to leave legacy projects that will stand the test of time.”

Other members of the delegation also took turns to speak, lauding the former Governor of Abia State for what they described as “sterling leadership qualities” and “unprecedented achievements” as a federal lawmaker.

They also commended Dr. Ukwa for his proactive engagement with party stakeholders and grassroots members in both Ohafia and Arochukwu.

“Dr. Ikenna Ukwa has shown exemplary commitment to the growth of our party and to community development,” noted Chief George Nnanna Kalu, a party chieftain from Ohafia. “His efforts in uniting the party and attracting key projects to our communities are deeply appreciated.”

In his response, Senator Orji Uzor Kalu expressed heartfelt gratitude for the visit and the kind words. “Your encouragement means a lot to me,” he said. “It will spur me to do even more for our people in Abia North.”

Senator Kalu also commended Dr. Ukwa for a unique post-birthday gesture, the sponsorship of a free eye and medical outreach, as well as a visit to a motherless babies’ home in Lohum Imenyi, Uzuakoli—Senator Kalu’s hometown in Bende LGA.

“Ikenna Ukwa is a promising young man with great prospects,” Senator Kalu said. “He is a lover of humanity, and I have no doubt he will always make a positive difference wherever he finds himself.

“I urge him to remain steadfast in his support for the APC in Ohafia and Abia State.”

Among those who joined the delegation were Chief Emma Nwosu, APC Chairman, Ohafia LGA; Chief John I. Okoro (popularly known as John Million), APC Chairman, Arochukwu LGA; Barr. Dr. Emeka I.U. Kalu; Barr. Udo Uduma; Mr. Jackline Ume; and several other party stalwarts.

The visit further strengthens internal unity within the APC in Abia North and reinforces ongoing collaboration between party leaders and elected officials.
