Just In: Abia Man Who Got Judgment Against APC National Caretaker Committee Chairman Not Our Member – APC Chieftain

Reading Time: 2 minutes

A Chieftain of All Progressives Congress (APC) in Abia State,  Hon. Chibuike Jonas has alleged that Kalu Kalu Agu who claims to be a former APC youth leader in Abia State  and instituted a case against the party National Caretaker Committee is not a member of the APC.

The Federal High Court in Abuja led by Justice Taiwo Taiwo on Monday  ordered the Caretaker Committee of the All Progressives Congress (APC) to stop the membership registration process it recently embarked.

Agu has taken the  National Caretaker Committee to the  Federal High Court in Abuja over illegal composition of the Caretaker Committee after the NEC dissolution of the Comrade Adams Oshiomole led National Working Committee(NWC).

Reacting to the case which has been adjourned till 4th December 2020, Hon. Jonas stated that Kalu Kalu Agu who instituted the suit is not a member of the APC,  revealing that he is a mere middlesome interloper who has no business with the APC in his ward and the state.

According to the former Local Government Chairman,  “When I saw the report in a newspaper that a purported APC member in Abia  State had instituted a case at a Federal High Court against the party’s National Caretaker Committee, I thought the person who instituted the suit is a member of our party until I discovered it was Kalu Kalu Agu; a man who was sacked from the party long time ago . It is highly unbelievable that a sensible  member of our party will initiate such an action.

He said that Agu’s action was an act of gross indiscipline and disrespect to the APC,  adding  that any judgement obtained with respect to Agu’s suit is useless .
This according to him,  is because a member of  PDP like Agu cannot interfere in activities of a party he has no business with .
Hon. Jonas urged the Chairman of the Caretaker Committee and it’s members to ignore Agu whose major aim is to distract the party from the ongoing Registration process.
