A Chieftain of All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) in Abia  state,  Chief Ikeji Okorie  has requested for immediate dismissal of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) Resident Electoral Commissioner (REC) in Abia state, Professor Joseph Iloh   over collaboration with the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the recently concluded Aba North and Aba South Federal Constituency by-election held in Abia state.

Chief Okorie  who was the agent of the APGA at the election on Friday,  told the Chairman of INEC , Professor Yakubu Mahmood that the result sheets being part of the sensitive materials delivered during the election was tampered with by Professor Iloh .

He said it was shocking and disappointing that Iloh who presided over the most brazenly manipulated and criminally rigged election in the political history of the Abia state is yet to resign from office for his spectacular and historical failure to conduct a fair and transparent .

“How come that an umpire who claims to be unbiased  opened the result sheets in the absence of other party agents thereby actively undermining and  frustrating other  parties . When he was caught , he said he wanted to check if the results were original.  He took the result sheets and sold it to the PDP and that was part of  the reasons the election was filled with massive rigging. , Okorie explained

Okorie urged Professor Mahmood to not allow Iloh remain as Abia REC as doing so  would give him more confidence in electoral malpractice
