Human rights activist, Omoyele Sowore says the high level of corruption in the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has undermined the democracy of the country for decades.
The activist made the comment via his Twitter account on Friday, as the 2023 general elections are fast approaching.
Sowore called on all Nigerians to rise up and expose corrupt elements in INEC so as to ensure the transparency of electoral processes.
He wrote, “@inecnigeria’s high level corruption, criminality & collusion has undermined Nigeria’s democracy for decades. We owe our Democratic future a historic duty to expose elements in @inecnigeria responsible to make sure they are flushed out. We will #OccupyInec #WeCantContinueLikeThis.”
