Four showbiz personalities of Nigerian descent led by Davido have made it to the final cut of Eddie Murphy’s highly anticipated film, ‘Coming to America 2’.
This was made known after the cast of the film was released. Directed by Craig Brewer, Davido makes a cameo appearance in the film where he performs his hit song, ‘Fall’ in the film. The BET winner will be appearing as a stage performer in the film.
Another Nigerian that will be making an appearance in the film is ‘Power’ actor, Rotimi Akinoso. Rotimi will also be making an appearance in the film. He acted alongside Wesley Snipes, Eddie Murphy, and Arsenio Hall in his few scenes.
Lola Adamson is another Nigerian, who was featured in the upcoming film. Adamson plays the role of a citizen of the fictitious African country, Zamunda, where Eddie Murphy comes from. Adamson is an actress and CEO and founder of Lowla360 Limited, a management and public relations firm.
The fourth Nigerian on the bill is Olaolu Winfunke. Winfunke plays the role of a royal manager in the highly anticipated sequel. Winfunke was born in Chicago, Illinois but raised in Lagos, Nigeria. He has worked on a few projects and has appeared in many well-known films and series on major networks.
Davido, Rotimi, Lola, and Winfunke Rotimi, and Rick Ross join some of the original cast members including star Eddie Murphy (Prince Akeem) and Arsenio Hall (Semmi), James Earl Jones (King Jaffe Joffer), Paul Bates (Oha), John Amos (Cleo McDowell), Shari Headley (Lisa McDowell), Louie Anderson (Maurice), and Vanessa Bell Calloway (Imani Izzi).
Other new casts include Teyana Taylor, Michael Blackson, Jermaine Fowler, Wesley Snipes, Leslie Jones, KiKi Layne, Luenell, and comic act, Tracy Morgan.
