According to the North Korean Central News Agency (KCNA) Kim Jong Un made an appearance at a May Day celebration and this would be his first public appearance in about three weeks since global reports over his health.The rumors around the world began when Kim Jong missed the celebration of his grandfather’s birthday on April 15 but according to KCNA he was seen 4 days before the birthday at a politburo meeting.
In his appearance Kim Jong Un also marked the completion of Sunchon phosphatic fertilizer factory In South Pyongan
“when the Sunchon Phosphatic Fertilizer Manufacturing Plant goes into operation, it will represent a historical development in our country’s fertilizer industry, it will be a glorious revelation and splendid display of our nation’s great economic potential and it will be an uplifting banner that assures us of the achievements of our country’s general economic frontline” Kim said
and he congratulated staff from Kim Chaek University of Technology. According to the KCNA report.
A photograph was also released with Kim Jong Un which showed him cutting a red ribbon, with his sister Kim Yo Jong behind him.
According to CNN, the authenticity of the picture cannot be independently verified or the date it was shot.
Donald Trump also declined to comment on the May Day appearance report “I would rather not to comment on it yet, Kim Jong Un. We will have something to say about it at the appropriate time”.
