Kano State: 2000 Almajiri Kids quarantined Over COVID-19

As the world continue to develop methods to contain the spread of the Virus, the Kano state Commissioner for Health has just placed 2000 almajiri children under quarantine to stop the spread of COVID 19 in the sate. This report was made on Thursday by Aminu Tsanyawa, Commissioner for Health in the state.

The management of the almajiri children was placed in the care of selected Community health workers, medical Doctors, Nurses, and laboratory scientist to test and screen the almajiri children at their camps in Kiru, Gabasawa and Karate local government areas of the state. This statement was made during the commissioning of the training for rapid response team encumbered with the task of managing the children at quarantine centers.
