Ekiti State Governor, Dr Kayode Fayemi, ensured on Friday regardless of the global economic hurdle, the cargo airport project of his administration in Ado Ekiti will continue.
The Governor acknowledged that the project requires huge financial resources and top notch technical expertise but his administration is determined to deliver and inaugurate it before October 2022.
The governor, who spoke during an inspection of ongoing projects by his government, said,
“Our real legacy project is the establishment of ‘Agriculture Zone’ where agro allied factories will be located to boost the state’s industrial development.
“I am confident that this project will be commissioned before I leave office. We are doing everything possible to ensure that we deliver it alongside other projects we are working on.”
Other key projects by his administration include the Civic Centre; Oja Oba Market; Agbado-Ode Road; and Ilupeju-Ire-Igbemo-Ijan Road. The Civic center and the Oja Oba Market is hoped by his administration to be inaugurated also in October 2022.
