Friday June 12 has been declared by the Nigerian Government as public holiday to mark this year’s Democracy Day celebration.
Nigeria’s interior minister Rauf Aregbesola in a statement signed by the permanent secretary in the ministry Georgina Ehuriah wish all Nigerians a happy democracy day and has praised our heroes past and present of democracy for their hard work and sacrifice.
Aregbesola assured Nigerians of the Federal Government’s effort in winning the battle against COVID-19 with the cooperation of all Nigerians, encouraging us all to stay safe by observing physical and social distancing, and practice utmost hygiene as stipulated by the health authorities.
