First Lady, Aisha Buhari blamed for shooting at the Presidential Villa

Sanni Umar, a former Special Adviser on Media and Publicity to the former Vice President Namadi Sambo, has blamed Aisha Buhari, for the earlier shooting at the Presidential Villa.

He made this statement during the Channels Television’s Sunrise Daily on Monday.

Reportedly, gunshots was fired at the Presidential Villa which involved members of her immediate family, her Aide-de-camp, Usman Shugaba and Sabiu Yusuf, a Special Assistant to President Muhammadu Buhari.

The shot was made by Aisha’s aide was in In a bid to force Yusuf into self-isolation after his return from Lagos State, This led to the arrest of Aisha’a aid and she has called the Inspector-General of Police, IGP, to release her security aides from detention.

Speaking, Sanni Umar mentioned that random shooting could happen due to external aggression and such shootings should not be condole. He said

“If we are talking about the quarantine, we are talking about the NCDC. I don’t know how the wife of Mr. President will become a member of NCDC who will now go to quarantine somebody because the person has travelled to Lagos,” Umar said.

“I appreciate her (Mrs. Buhari’s) concern because the person works with her husband and she doesn’t want her husband to be infected, but there are ways to go about it.

“She can as well request the relevant agencies to take necessary actions to address the matter. But for her to take the issue personally and execute the action is very wrong and it is completely outside the known protocol,” the former PDP presidential campaign spokesperson added
