APC Chieftain congratulations Sen. Kalu for emerging Abia Caucus chairman

A chieftain of All Progressives Congress(APC) in Abia State, Hon. Chibuike Jonas, has congratulated the Senate Chief Whip and Senator representing Abia North Senatorial District, Sen. Orji Uzor Kalu, on his emergence as Chairman of Abia State Caucus.

The party chieftain whose position is contained in statement signed and made available to the media on Thursday, described the choice of Sen. Kalu, a former two-term Governor of Abia State, as Chairman of Abia APC Caucus as strategic, timely and progressive given his antecedents and leadership acumen.

Hon. Jonas, a former council chairman of Arochukwu Local Government Area and political ally of Sen. Kalu, also assured that with the caliber of people constituting the reonstituted Abia APC Caucus, it is glaring that the party is poised and strategically repositioning into doing things differently in future political engagements.

“I wish to congratulate my leader and boss, Sen. Orji Uzor Kalu, on his emergence as Chairman, Abia APC Caucus. This position is not only eloquent but strategic considering the antecedents, goodwill and capacity of Sen. Orji Uzor Kalu as a mobilizer and progressive politician. I am therefore confident that the former Governor of Abia State, who indeed is the mentor of most prominent politicians occupying exalted political offices presently, will bring his wealth of experience into bear as well as activate all neccessary contacts within the political arena to drive APC into fortunes and electory victory going forward”, Jonas said.

While commending Hon. Dontaus Nwanka led State Working Committe (SWC) of Abia APC for deploying wisdom in reconstituing the State Caucus, Hon. Jonas also congratulated members including the Minister of State for Mines, Dr. Uche Ogah, Sen. Nkechi Nworgu, Hon. Nkiru Onyejeocha, Hon. Benjamin Kalu, Barr. Friday Nwosu, Hon. Acho Obioma (Chomen), Sen. Chris Adighije and others.

The former council boss also seized the opportunity to welcome the 2015 and 2019 Abia Governorship candidate of All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), Dr. Alex Otti Ofr and his teeming followers and supporters to APC, describing his decision to join the party as thoughtful and a welcome development that will sufficiently boost the chances of Abia APC to win future elections in the state.

Hon. Jonas, therefore, enjoined all leaders and members of the party to close ranks and work purposefully to further reposition the party for victories and other political gains.
