Chief Whip of the Senate and former Governor of Abia state, Senator Orji Uzor Kalu has commiserated with the family of His Royal Highness, late Eze David Elechi Ikoro (Ezeukwu II) of Amaboelu Autonomous community in Okoko Item in Bende Local Government Area of Abia State.
Kalu who arrived the late traditional ruler’s house on Tuesday morning spent time with the family and paid tribute to late Ikoro’s children and wives .
Addressing his wives and children, Kalu said “late Eze Ikoro was a man of virtue who lived not only for himself, but for God and his subjects .He was a human right fighter per excellence who believed in equal justice. He played his politics without bitterness and he was with me all through. I had wished His Highness lived longer to enable him continue his God given gift of touching lives ; but who am I to question God ” the former Governor said.
Until his death, Eze David Elechi Ikoro was the traditional ruler of Amaboelu Autonomous Community in Okoko Item .
