Abia State’s resident electoral commissioner ; Prof Chuks Illoh has been issued a stern warning by revered cleric and General Overseer of the Life Believers Assembly Int’l, Pastor  Chukwujekwu Mkpa to refrain from engaging in any form of bribe taking  in the Aba North / South election scheduled to hold on March 27th.

This is even as the  in his emotional sermon also alleged that Prof Joshua Illoh received kickbacks in form of financial inducements from both the People’s Democratic Party(PDP) and the All Progressive’s Grand Alliance (APGA) during the 2019 General elections ; but later refunded part of the amount to APGA since the outcome of the election was not in their favour.

Delivering his sermon during today’s Sunday service at the Obingwa, District of the Church, Pastor Mkpa  warned that Prof Illoh risks incurring the wrath of God if he engages or attempts to shortchange the will of the people by collecting bribes to rig the election.

According to Pastor Joshua who said  he has no interest in any particular candidate, he wouldn’t be economical in speaking the truth on the devastating state of Abia under Governor Ikpeazu and the People’s Democratic Party.

The General Overseer spared no words in lambasting the administration of Governor Ikpeazu which he said has brought about untold hardship to the people of Abia, most especially as a result of the non-payment of worker’s salaries and infrastructure decay.

The pastor also bemoaned that though the Governor hails from Obingwa, the local government has been neglected without anything tangible to show for in the last six years of Ikpeazu’s administration.

In his words” Today is Sunday and as men of God our duty is to guide the children of God on the right path not just in religion but also in Governance. There is a warning from God to the resident electoral commissioner for Abia state , Prof Chuks Illoh to resist from collecting bribes to rig elections

“I weep for Abia State today when I see what the people are going through and the number of lies they are being told most especially on radio. Just last week I was in Port Harcourt , Rivers state for our monthly, Divine Supplication Programme and I was impressed with what I saw , their Governor just commissioned the 5th flyover in six years but Ikpeazu is yet to complete Osisioma Flyover Bridge, in six years, it’s a shame and we can’t keep deceiving ourselves. Nobody talks about our workers and pensioners who are being owed salaries and gratuities…

“This  election is a defining moment for Abia State and it marks the beginning of a new dawn in our state, any attempt by Illoh to rig the election will incur the merciless wrath of God upon his life.

“During the last election, Prof Illoh collected money from both APGA and PDP to rig the election but he later returned part of the money to APGA since the election didn’t end in their favour.  Professor Illoh should stop collecting money from political parties , he has been warned , if he tries it this time around he will see hell.

“I don’t have any special candidate in this Aba by election, as a man of God I can’t campaign for any candidate, my vote is only one, I have  only told you all the truth about the rot that is going on under the PDP and the choice is left for you to make. We need people that will build roads in Aba . We don’t want people that spend years in Senate with zero project for the people

Pastor Joshua in concluding his sermon urged the people to remain steadfast in God and pray for peaceful elections and the nation at large.
