Chief Whip of the Senate and Chairman of the Senate Committee on the Review of the
1999 Constitution , Senator Orji Uzor Kalu has arrived Owerri, Imo state capital for the Southeast zonal public hearing slated to take place at Protea Hotel, Owerri, Imo State. The event is scheduled for Wednesday 26 and Thursday 27, May, 2021.
The Senate Chief Whip in company of his entourage arrived Sam Mbakwe Airport at exactly 5 PM
A release earlier signed by Senator Kalu who also doubles as the Chairman and made available to newsmen urged people of Imo and Abia States to be present. The statement partly reads, “Representatives of both State Government, State Legislature, Local Government Councils, Traditional Rulers, Town Unions, Women Leaders, People with Disability, Youth Leaders are expected at the Hearing. “Memoranda in 10 hard copies and 1 soft copy is to be submitted to the Secretariat at the Venue.”
