After Fayemi, Korean Ambassador Revisits Senator Kalu In Abuja

The Ambassador of the Republic of Korea to Nigeria, H.E. Mr. Kim Young-Chae, and his Wife, Judy Kim (MP), yesterday paid a courtesy visit to the Chief Whip of the Senate and former Governor of Abia,  Senator Orji Uzor Kalu at his Aso Villa ,Abuja residence.

Mr. Kim was accompanied by his staff,  Korea Embassy Consul, Park Keunwon and his wife Mrs. Choi Jihye 

The Korean delegation were warmly received by Senator Kalu and his wife,Mrs Ifunanya Kalu and were treated to warm reception. 

The visit is however not the first of its kind, in April this year, the Korea Envoy  paid a visit to Senator Kalu in his Abuja home where Kalu had solicited for the assistance of the Republic of  Korea in the fight against insurgency in the country.

Kalu’s call for international assistance in the fight against insurgency in the country was the second in a week, having made similar call when he met Turkish Ambassador-Designate to Nigeria, Hidayet Bayraktar, in Abuja.

 

Recall that in early hours of same day, Kalu who recently bagged the “constituency development Senator” award at the Senate received in audience the Executive Governor of Ekiti State and Chairman of Nigeria Governors Forum,  Kayode Fayemi.

Details of Fayemi’s visit to Kalu have remained undisclosed, however taking to his social media handles Senator Kalu described the visit as a cordial one, he further lauded the Governor’s efforts in piloting the Governor’s forum.

Gov Fayemi had arrived Kalu’s residence at exactly 11: 30 am spent more than three hours with Kalu.
