Two hunters have been arrested by the The Nigeria Police Force for allegedly killing a woman, Uzarai Musa, and her son, Kladang Musa, over alleged witchcraft in Adamawa State.

The incident happened at Bitikaya in the Madagali local government area of the state where they resided.

The victims were accused of killing people and inflicting sicknesses on the inhabitants of their community for years.

To relieve the community of their “witchcraft”, two local security men, Hassan Solomon, 26, and Uleri Shaba, 28, both of Gulak town, shot both mother and son, killing them instantly.

The hunters claimed that the deceased “witches” had allegedly killed two of their relations and were responsible for other mysterious deaths and happenings in their community.

Late Uzarai was shot in the stomach by the hunters, while her son was shot on his neck at their residence.

The report quoted the officer in-charge of Crack Squad of Adamawa State Police Command, CSP Ahmed Danjuma Gombi, to have said that their killers had been arrested.

Gombi said, “Our operatives have apprehended 15 suspects in connection to the murder of duo and they being profiled for culpable homicide.”
