Gunmen Attack Chinese Construction Company In Kwara, Kill Police, Abduct Expatriate

Some gunmen have caused a serious commotion in Kwara State after launching an attack.

The gunmen on Tuesday attacked a Chinese construction company in Shao, Moro Local Government of Kwara State.

They killed an inspector of police and abducted a Chinese expatriate during the invasion.

The incident, according to the Kwara State Police Command, occurred on Saturday when the heavily armed suspected kidnappers invaded the premises of the CGC construction company along Shao /Oloru expressway.

“They shot and killed Inspector Adebayo Adeforiti who was on guard duty at the company and abducted a Chinese national working in the site before escaping into the bush,” Okasanmi added.

He said the Commissioner of Police, Tuesday Assayomo, has deployed the Command’s tactical teams, vigilantes and local hunters into the area for possible rescue and arrest of the perpetrators.

“The CP commensurates with the families of the deceased police Inspector and that of the abducted Chinese, promising that no stone would be left unturned towards ensuring that the perpetrators of this dastardly act are apprehended and made to face the full wrath of the law”, Okasanmi added.
