Former Deputy Senate President and member representing Enugu Enugu West senatorial district , Senator Ike Ekweremadu on Saturday paid a solidarity visit to the Chief Whip of the Senate, Dr Orji Uzor Kalu.

This is coming after the Senate President Ahmad Lawan led the Senate principal officers and other 40 senators for a similar visit on Thursday.
The Nigeria daily recalls that the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) had arraigned Orji Uzor Kalu and Ude Jones Udeogu, a former director of finance and account of Abia state on 36 counts of money laundering to the tune of N7.1 billion but on June 2 the supreme count ordered the release of the parties.
